Community

All the personal donations we receive go to fund the education of our students. Specific grants from other foundations have allowed us to expand our activities and offer various opportunities to a wider community.

Music:

We work with Keys of Change, a UK charity founded by concert pianist Panos Karan.

  • 15 of our students are learning to play the guitar. 
  • Many of our students also attend the singing and violin lessons we organise.
  • Our students are now going out into the community themselves, performing, for example, to children in hospital in Quito.

    Eye tests and glasses:

    Thanks to Eagle Foundation in Switzerland, since 2013 we have organised eye tests and paid for glasses for children in primary and secondary schools in the poorest parts of Quito.  Working with the Ecuadorian charity Vista para Todos, by the end of 2022 we had conducted more than 7,500 eye tests and provided glasses for over 3,100 children and young people.
