English-speaking volunteers make a tremendous contribution to our work in Ecuador.  We are currently looking for volunteers to work alongside our local volunteers in Quito. Volunteers should be able to:

  • Speak some Spanish.
  • Keen to teach English (around 15hrs per week).
  • Willing to work for a minimum of 3 months.
  • We can organise comfortable accommodation with a local family, teaching support and help and advice on making the most of living in Ecuador.

Volunteers need to pay their own airfare to Ecuador and their living costs while in the country. The Condor Trust makes no administrative or other charges.

To find out more, read about a volunteer’s experiences on the What People Say page or contact us at chrispatrick@condortrust.org.

    Help us Fundraise

If you fancy fundraising for us, just let us know and we will help you maximise funds. Ideas include:

  • Take on a personal challenge. Run a fun run or a marathon, do a sponsored walk, climb, swim, bungee jump.
  • Introduce the Condor Trust at your place of work, school, social group, church. We would be happy to provide a speaker for meetings.
  • Organise a concert, quiz night or a sports tournament in aid of the Condor Trust.
  • We can provide advice, materials and other support.

    Fundraising successes

  • Thanks to musicians including Panos Karan and Nikita Bazil, we have held several very successful fund-raising concerts.
  • Several people have run marathons for us, starting with the Tokyo Marathon.
  • A school in Bromley, Kent, has raised money for the Condor Trust for several years. This year a group of girls held a talent show and charged for entry.
  • Another supporter encouraged guests to her birthday party to donate to the Condor Trust instead of buying a present.
